The Carnes Family

I love it when the Carnes’ are coming into town because I know that means a phone call from Kortney seeing when we can get together to do some family pictures.  We have gotten the last two years in and hope to do it many more.  How fun it will be to be a part of this families photo albums for years to come.  The next time we get to do this there will be another beautiful addition.

Second Shooting

Kate Byars was nice enough to let me tag along with her a while ago for a whole weekend to do a few family shots.  We went to the Swan House in Atlanta as well as a really beautiful park.  All of the families were super cool and dressed their kids so well.  Never forget how much a fun, colorful outfit can add to a picture!

Greenville Shoot

I got a call from Jenny one afternoon seeing if I could do some pictures for her son next time I was up in Greenville.  We went to the rock quarry/garden near downtown Greenville.  It was so pretty out there!

Sean and Julie- A Fairhope Engagement

When I was down in Fairhope I was lucky enough to take engagement pictures for my friend Sean and his stunning fiance Julie.  We went to the Grand Hotel in Point Clear as many have done before us and got to do a beautiful sunset engagement shoot.  Pictures ended up just as I was hoping they would!

Kate Byars Photography

I met Kate a while back through a mutual friend who knew that I was looking to get into doing photography on a professional level so she gave me Kate’s email address and said to talk to her, that she’s the best.  And you know what, she was right, Kate’s the best!  Super talented, business savvy, nice as can be and pretty as a picture! (see what I did there with the pun…) Anyway, Kate needed some pictures of herself for her portfolio and I really loved how they turned out so I figured I’d share with the world.

Caleb and Harper at the walking bridge in Chattanooga

If you have never looked at any of my pictures before, I would like to introduce you to Caleb & Harper.  Caleb was my college roommate and he met his beautiful wife while at UGA and the two have become family to me.  unfortunately (or possibly fortunately) for the two of them, part of being family is that I don’t feel bad if I have to use them and their time.  Any time I get a new idea or get a new lens, I make them be my guinea pigs.  I guarantee that this will not be the last time you see them in my posts.

For this particular shoot I had just gotten a new telephoto lens that needed testing.  Also I wanted to venture into the over saturated “vintage” look.  I don’t think it’s a thing that I will ever do in large quantities but it’s fun to try every once in a while.

Ann Marie Part 2

We had such a good time taking pictures in the parking lot that when Ann Marie had her dance recital a few weeks later, I got to take pictures at it.  The lighting in the building was terrible so I really got to try out the maximum settings on my camera, which was fun to do.  The kids were so cute and super talented.  I may be biased but I think she was the best in her class!
